Combine in a medium bowl~
1/4 cup whole wheat flour or unbleached white flour
1 cup quick cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
pinch of salt and a touch of cinnamon
Sift together with a whisk.
Combine in a small bowl~
3/4 Cup skim Milk
1/2 Cup vanilla yogurt
1 tablespoon agave nectar
1 to 2 tablespoons melted butter
1 large egg
Add to flour mixture, stirring just until moist. You could substitute 1 cup nonfat buttermilk for the skim milk and yogurt if you would prefer.
Cook these little sweethearts on a griddle over medium heat. I like to use fresh berries and a touch of agave nectar on our pancakes. Yum!

I have made a goal to feed my family of seven on $60.oo a week. Impossible you say, I don't know yet, but I am going to give it a try! Here I will record my purchases, menu plans and share my recipes etc! The plan is to make our family insanely healthy~
